A little literary industry trivia for the week: According to an article printed by Voice of America, many new authors are turning to self-publishing; in addition, self-published books outnumber those released by traditional publishers.
Jeff Ashton, one of the lead prosecutors in the Casey Anthony murder trial, is writing a book about it. Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony will contain details about the trial never before made public, and why Ashton still believes Casey is guilty. Imperfect Justice is scheduled for release in November 2011. Pre-orders for the book can be found on Amazon.

Kate Gould announced that her publishing company The Fine Line is now accepting submissions. They are willing to receive unsolicited manuscripts and work of any genre. The only requirement is that it enthralls them from the first page. Click here for additional details.
